My Story:

(Originally posted 10/26/2015)

I’ve always loved technology.

When I was kid, if someone asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up, I didn’t say “firefighter” or “football player”. I said “inventor”.

I was constantly taking things apart and tinkering with everything I could find. I remember vividly the first time I used an Apple II and played a Nintendo. I learned html and built my first website when I was 11.

Unfortunately, I was raised in rural Wyoming, so my 56.6k modem soon became a limiting factor. I stepped away from the computer and explored a variety of fields from ecology to philosophy to business. I earned a biology degree from the University of Colorado and an MBA from Cornell.

In between, I worked in the high growth wind and solar energy sectors and discovered that I have a passion for revenue generation. In 2008 I was the top salesperson at the largest solar company in Colorado when I picked up my first iPhone. It changed everything.

Now I bring a passion for growth and a breadth of experience from various industries back to the technology field.

Currently, I lead a growth team for a private equity firm with over $850m under management. We have a unique strategy of acquiring companies that are technology constrained and then scaling them with marketing and engineering talent.

We apply a variety of tactics to create meaningful growth across a range of industrial, consumer, and technology businesses.
